Role Description The Research Associate will support faculty and research teams in designing, executing, and documenting research projects across relevant disciplines. Daily responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, collecting and analyzing data, preparing research reports, and contributing to manuscripts, presentations, and grant proposals. The proposed work aims to develop a user-friendly photovoltaic (PV) system design and simulation platform using ground-based solar radiation and climatic data for improved energy-yield prediction, feasibility assessment, system sizing, and performance analysis. The proposed scope includes applications for grid connected PV systems, stand-alone PV systems, solar water pumping, street-lighting systems, and small PV/micro-grid configurations. The candidate may be required to visit and work at either or both organizations (SU & Quick Infotech) as per the project requirements and directions of the Principal Investigator.
Qualifications
- Ph.D. (awarded/submitted) in Physics/Renewable Energy/Energy with demonstrated research experience in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) systems, performance analysis, modelling and simulation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with faculty, students, and cross-functional teams in an academic setting.
- High level of organization, attention to detail, and adherence to research ethics and institutional compliance standards.
- Master’s degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline; prior research experience or publications are highly desirable.
- Capability to work on-site in Sadar with a proactive, problem-solving mindset and a commitment to continuous learning.
