Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Research Associate role based in Gandhinagar. The Research Associate will support the Synthesis R&D team by planning and executing multi-step organic and medicinal chemistry experiments, optimizing reaction conditions, and analyzing results using appropriate analytical techniques. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate laboratory records, preparing technical reports, supporting impurity profiling and structure elucidation work, and contributing to method development and process optimization. The role involves collaborating with senior scientists, adhering to safety and quality standards, managing lab inventory, and participating in regular project discussions and reviews.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in organic and medicinal chemistry, including experience with multi-step synthesis and reaction mechanism understanding.
- Hands-on skills in laboratory techniques such as purification, isolation, and characterization of organic compounds.
- Proficiency with analytical tools (e.g., NMR, HPLC, GC, MS, IR) for structure elucidation and impurity profiling.
- Ability to maintain clear experimental documentation, prepare technical reports, and follow standard operating procedures.
- Familiarity with safety practices in chemical laboratories and adherence to regulatory and internal safety guidelines.
- Effective problem-solving skills, data interpretation abilities, and a disciplined approach to experimental design.
- Collaborative mindset with strong communication skills to work within cross-functional research teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry, or a related field; prior industry or academic research experience is an advantage.
- Comfort with using basic computer tools and, ideally, scientific software for data analysis and reporting.
