Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar (IIPHG) is a University established under IIPHG Act, 2015 of Gujarat State. It offers courses in the field of Public Health. It also undertakes various research projects in the field of Public Health. The university is established by Public Health Foundation of India (PHFI) with support from the Government of Gujarat, Department of Health & Family Welfare.
Project Brief:
The Awareness Against Health Threats of Climate Change (AWARE) project is an international
research consortium assembled to enhance public health adaptation using climate services to
address diarrheal disease burdens. It aims to develop interventions for managing diarrheal disease
using climate services; to develop epidemiological methods; use co-design through community
engagement, and support capacity strengthening for local adaptation. A consortium of partners from
research institutions in the United States, UK, Chinese Taipei, India, Vietnam, Nepal, South Africa and Indonesia, will work together to undertake a comparative analysis of diarrhoeal disease risk
associated with temperature and rainfall factors, ENSO, and extreme weather events.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Research Associate at Indian Institute of Public Health Gandhinagar located in Gujarat, India. The Research Associate will be responsible for the managing disease data, develop epidemiological methods; use co-design through community engagement, and support capacity strengthening for local adaptation.
