Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and analytical Research Associate to support our investment research process. The ideal candidate should possess strong financial acumen, curiosity about businesses, and the ability to analyse companies, industries, bonds, and investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Research & Analysis
- Study and analyse listed companies across different sectors
- Research and analyse corporate bonds, debentures, fixed income products, and other investment opportunities
- Read annual reports, investor presentations, conference calls, and industry updates
- Prepare concall summaries and management meeting notes
- Track company results, business updates, and important developments
- Assist in preparing research reports and investment notes
- Compare companies with peers and understand business performance
Investment Monitoring
- Track portfolio companies and quarterly results
- Monitor management commentary and important company updates
- Update research trackers and investment data regularly
- Assist in preparing presentation materials and performance summaries
Data, Reporting & Documentation
- Maintain and organise research data and documents
- Prepare short summaries on companies, industries, and market trends
Tools, Technology & Innovation
- Use Excel / Google Sheets for data tracking, maintaining records, improving reporting processes, and ensuring proper organisation and accuracy of data
- Use AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini to improve research productivity
Qualifications & Skills
Education: B.Com / BBA / MBA (Finance) / CFA Level 1 (Preferred) / Related Finance Background
Experience: 0–1 year of experience in investment analysis, equity research, or business research
Skills
- Strong understanding of financial statements and business analysis
- Basic understanding of business valuation methodologies
- Passion for investing and business analysis
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Google Sheets, and research tools such as NotebookLM and AI tools
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under deadlines
