Research Associate/ Research Assistant Role
Research Associate – Extracellular Biology, 3D Tissue Models & Regenerative Systems
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated MSc candidate to contribute to interdisciplinary research focused on advanced cell-based assays, bioactive systems, extracellular biology, and in vitro model development. The candidate will be involved in developing functional biological platforms to study regeneration, inflammation, and tissue response.
This role is ideal for candidates with hands-on cell culture/ 3D tissue model experience and a strong interest in translational and experimental biology.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and expand mammalian cell cultures (MSC or relevant lines)
- Develop and optimize 2D and 3D cell culture systems
- Develop and standardize SOPs for in vitro disease-relevant models, ensuring reproducibility and experimental consistency.
- Conduct biomolecules isolation, estimation and AGE/SDS-PAGE analysis
- Design and execute experiments evaluating biomolecules-cell interactions
- Record, analyze, and interpret experimental data
- Collaborate with team members for workflow execution
Essential Requirements
· MSc in Biotechnology / Life Sciences
- Proven hands-on experience in mammalian cell culture
- Familiarity with:
Ø Aseptic techniques
Ø Cell passaging and maintenance
- Experience in at least one of the following:
- 3D culture / spheroids / organoids
- Primary cell culture (e.g., MSCs)
- Co-culture systems
- Molecular Biology
- Immunotechnology
Candidate Profile

We are looking for a motivated BSc fresher to assist in research projects involving cell culture systems, bioactive molecules, and in vitro biological assays. The role focuses on hands-on laboratory support, routine workflows, and foundational experimental techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in routine laboratory operations (media preparation, buffer preparation, sterilization)
- Support mammalian cell culture workflows under supervision
- Perform sample processing and filtration workflows
- Conduct basic assays such as protein/nucleic acid estimation
- Run and assist in AGE/SDS-PAGE experiments
- Maintain accurate records of experiments and sample tracking
- Support the team in experiment setup and execution
- Ensure lab cleanliness, organization, and compliance with protocols
Essential Requirements
- BSc in Biotechnology / Life Sciences
- Basic understanding of laboratory practices
- Willingness to learn hands-on experimental techniques
- Good discipline in documentation and following protocols
