We're Looking for A Fact and Info Digger (Researcher)
Some people read the room. You go find the room, sit in it, earn trust, and come back with what nobody else could.
The Role
You are the bridge between the story and the truth. Our storyteller works from research and narrative - you are what makes that research real. You'll identify the right people, get in the room with them, ask the questions that matter, and come back with insights that no Google search can replace.
What You'll Do
- Identify and reach out to relevant stakeholders, academics, farmers, officials, activists, and community voices
- Conduct in-person and remote interviews and document them clearly
- Build and maintain a network of sources across Punjab
- Translate ground reality into structured briefs for the storytelling team
- Verify facts, find primary sources, and flag what doesn't add up
You Might Be The One If
- Strangers open up to you faster than they should
- You know the real answer is never the first answer
- You're comfortable in a government office and a village dhaba on the same day
Bonus If You
- Have prior experience in journalism, research, or fieldwork
- Are fluent in Punjabi and comfortable across regions
