Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Research and Development Engineer based in the Greater Bengaluru Area. The R&D Engineer will design, develop, and improve machinery and laser-based systems, working closely with cross-functional teams in engineering, production, and quality. Daily activities include conducting research, performing feasibility studies, creating prototypes, and executing testing and validation of new products and components. The role involves analyzing data, troubleshooting technical issues, documenting findings, and preparing technical reports to support product enhancements and new product introductions. The Engineer will also contribute to process optimization, adherence to safety and quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives within the R&D function.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret test data, diagnose technical issues, and support design decisions.
- Hands-on experience in Research and Development (R&D) and Research activities related to mechanical, electrical, or laser-based machinery.
- Proficiency in Testing methods, product validation, and performance evaluation of machinery or industrial equipment.
- Experience in Product Development, including concept design, prototyping, and transitioning products to manufacturing.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
- Familiarity with CAD tools and engineering design software; knowledge of laser technology or precision machinery is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in industrial settings, collaborate with production teams, and follow safety and quality standards.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, with the ability to prepare technical reports and present findings.
- Prior experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment, especially in the Greater Bengaluru Area, is beneficial.
