Research Analyst – Listed & Unlisted Companies
We are looking for a Research Analyst to join our growing investment research and financial services ecosystem.
The role will involve identifying promising unlisted companies, researching listed and unlisted businesses, studying industries, preparing company profiles, and supporting various business verticals including merchant banking, AIF-related research, investor relations, capital market research, and business development support.

Key Responsibilities1. Company Discovery & Research
- Identify high-potential unlisted companies across sectors and geographies.
- Track companies with strong growth, profitability, scalability, and capital-raising potential.
- Prepare detailed company profiles covering business model, products, promoters, financials, industry position, strengths, risks, and growth opportunities.
- Study listed companies for peer comparison, sector benchmarking, and market understanding.
- Maintain a structured database of companies, sectors, promoters, and key business insights.
2. Listed & Unlisted Business Analysis
- Analyze financial statements, annual reports, DRHP/RHP documents, investor presentations, credit rating reports, MCA filings, and other public documents.
- Prepare research notes on business models, revenue streams, profitability, working capital, debt, corporate actions, and industry trends.
- Compare companies with listed peers and identify valuation, growth, and positioning insights.
- Track SME IPOs, mainboard IPOs, pre-IPO opportunities, and emerging sectors.
3. Merchant Banking & Capital Market Support
- Support the merchant banking business with company research, industry notes, peer analysis, and transaction-related documentation.
- Assist in preparing pitch materials, company profiles, information memorandums, investor presentations, and sector reports.
- Track IPO-bound companies, fundraising opportunities, and capital market developments.
- Coordinate internally with business, compliance, and execution teams for research-backed inputs.
4. AIF & Investment Research Support
- Help identify investible opportunities for fund-related evaluation.
- Prepare preliminary investment notes, opportunity summaries, sector snapshots, and company screening reports.
- Support due diligence by collecting and organizing financial, business, legal, and market-related information.
- Track deal flow, founder/promoter background, competitive positioning, and risk factors.
5. Investor Relations & Business Content Support
- Assist in preparing company research content for investor communication.
- Support IR-related activities such as investor presentation content, business storytelling, sector updates, and market intelligence.
- Help create structured reports, blogs, newsletters, and educational content around companies, sectors, IPOs, and investment themes.
- Work on research inputs required for meetings, campaigns, webinars, investor sessions, and business presentations.
6. Market Intelligence & Sector Tracking
- Track sector-wise developments, regulatory updates, industry data, and market trends.
- Monitor listed peer performance, IPO activity, fundraising trends, and investor interest areas.
- Build sector databases and thematic research notes on emerging opportunities.
- Identify business trends relevant to MSMEs, SMEs, listed companies, and unlisted growth companies.
Required Skills
- Strong understanding of business models, financial statements, and capital markets.
- Ability to read and interpret annual reports, DRHP/RHP documents, investor presentations, MCA data, and financial filings.
- Good writing and presentation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to convert raw information into structured research notes and company profiles.
- Good command over Excel, PowerPoint, and online research tools.
- Curiosity to understand different industries and promoter-led businesses.
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of research assignments.

Prior experience in any of the following areas will be helpful:

- Financial content or capital market research
- Research on SME, MSME, listed, or unlisted companies
Qualification
- CA / CFA / MBA Finance / M.Com / B.Com / Economics background preferred.
- Candidates with strong practical research experience may also apply, even if they do not have the above qualifications.
