Role Description The Research Analyst role at Dolphin Securities is a full-time, on-site position based in Vadodara. The analyst will gather and analyze financial, economic, and industry data to produce timely research reports, presentations, and internal briefs that support investment and trading decisions. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting market research, building and maintaining databases, interpreting statistical and financial trends, and preparing clear written summaries and visual analyses. The role also involves collaborating with senior analysts and other stakeholders to refine research questions, validate assumptions, and respond to ad hoc information requests. The analyst is expected to stay current on market developments, corporate news, and regulatory changes relevant to assigned sectors or asset classes.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills and applied research abilities, with experience interpreting quantitative and qualitative data.
- Proficiency in market research and financial or economic research methods, including data collection and interpretation.
- Foundational understanding of statistics, including basic statistical tools used in financial or market analysis.
- Effective communication skills, including clear written reporting and the ability to present findings to non-technical audiences.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business, or a related field; advanced degrees or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA Level I) are an advantage.
- Comfort with spreadsheets, presentation tools, and research databases; familiarity with financial data platforms or basic data analysis software is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and the ability to work under time-sensitive conditions in a collaborative, professional environment.
