Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Bengaluru for a Research Analyst. The Research Analyst will be responsible for conducting market and statistical research, analyzing data, preparing financial reports, and providing insights for decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research and analysis on mutual funds, equities, and other investment products to evaluate performance, risk, and growth potential.
- Analyze stocks held within mutual fund portfolios to understand sector exposure, valuation, and their impact on fund performance.
- Evaluate Portfolio Management Services (PMS) including portfolio composition, strategy, and risk-return characteristics.
- Track global markets, economic trends, and investment themes to identify potential investment opportunities.
- Prepare research reports, fund comparison notes, and presentations for internal teams and management.
- Support the investment solutions/advisory team with insights for portfolio construction and optimization.
- Monitor fund performance, benchmarks, and key financial indicators to identify outperforming and underperforming strategies.
- Assist senior management with strategic research, market analysis, and ad-hoc projects to support business growth.
Qualifications
- Graduate in any stream
- Postgraduate in Finance / MBA (Finance) preferred
- 2–3 years of relevant experience as an Analyst in capital markets, investment research, or wealth management
Software & Tools Required- Microsoft Excel (Advanced) – financial analysis, modelling, pivot tables, dashboards
- Microsoft PowerPoint – investment presentations and reporting
- Microsoft Copilot – research assistance and productivity enhancement
- Canva – creating visually appealing research reports and presentations
- Morningstar Direct / Value Research / CRISIL – mutual fund and market research
- Power BI or Tableau – data visualization and analytics
- MS Word / Google Workspace – documentation and reporting
- Python or R (basic knowledge) – data analysis and automation (optional)
