Develop and execute category strategies aligned with brand positioning and market demands. Analyze sales performance, margin trends, and inventory turnover to identify growth opportunities. Monitor fashion trends and consumer behavior to guide product selection and assortment planning. Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery, quality compliance, and cost efficiency. Conduct regular category reviews and present insights to senior management using data-driven reports. Manage product lifecycle planning, including launch, promotion, and end-of-season clearance. Work closely with the merchandising and marketing teams to align product offerings with seasonal campaigns. Maintain accurate category data in ERP and retail planning systems. Track KPIs such as sell-through rates, stock accuracy, and category profitability. Stay updated on competitive landscape and emerging retail trends in the Indian fashion market. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field. 2–5 years of experience in fashion category management, merchandising, or retail planning. Proven track record in driving category performance and improving sales through strategic planning. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and experience with retail analytics tools. In-depth knowledge of Indian fashion retail landscape, including consumer preferences and seasonal trends. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and retail planning software is a plus. Strong attention to detail and a results-driven mindset.
