Role Description This is a full-time Venture Capital Analyst role based in Singapore River with a hybrid work arrangement, combining on-site collaboration with some work-from-home flexibility. The analyst will support investment decisions by sourcing and evaluating early-stage and growth-stage opportunities, conducting market and competitive research, and performing financial and business due diligence. Daily activities include building and maintaining financial models, preparing investment memos and presentations, and assisting in portfolio monitoring through performance tracking and reporting. The role also involves collaborating with founders, internal stakeholders, and external partners, contributing to investment committee discussions, and supporting the development of Next Filer’s investment theses in target sectors.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data, assess business models, and draw evidence-based conclusions.
- Solid foundation in finance and investments, with familiarity in valuation methods, capital structures, and startup financing dynamics.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, including building projections, scenario analyses, and sensitivity models in spreadsheets.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly in written reports and live discussions.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; advanced studies or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
- Experience or strong interest in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or startup ecosystems.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, cross-cultural environment and collaborating with international teams and founders.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently.
