Software Engineer, Workspace UX

The Workspace UX team is focused on making the end-to-end experience of building apps on Replit excellent. As the platform evolves, our goal is to make app creation increasingly easier and more accessible. To empower software creators, we want to invest in better starting points, AI assistance, simpler integrations, and improved onboarding. We work closely with our AI and DevEx teams to translate our powerful infrastructure into user-friendly workflows and performant interfaces. Things you might do: Develop a system that allows users to brainstorm with AI to generate ideas for their app. Create an onboarding experience for new users that helps them achieve what they want to do in the workspace. Streamline the options for users to import, manage and share environment secrets with their apps. You will… Identify what our software creators need to get started faster and make it happen. Conceive, design and develop workflows and UIs that support our users, from running their first programs to deploying their apps. Integrate AI features that reduce common development pitfalls. Continuously improve the user experience for our tools and integrations. Required skills and Experience: You have a minimum of 3+ years of work experience as a Software Engineer. You have deep expertise in React and the DOM, and understand how to optimize it for maximum rendering performance. You have experience with Typescript or similar strongly typed languages. You can architect reusable, cross-platform components and layout systems. You pay attention to small details and enjoy collaborating with designers to polish the UI. You are comfortable working full-stack, from building React components to developing APIs to integrating with third party services.
