<strong>Job Summary<br><br></strong>Renew Residential Services is seeking a compassionate and motivated <strong>Direct Support Professional (DSP)</strong> to provide quality care and meaningful support to individuals with developmental disabilities, aging needs, or health-related challenges in their homes & communities. <div><strong> Essential Responsibilities</strong></div>

<li>Assist the clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support</li>
<li>Support clients during meals by preparing nutritious meals, assisting with eating as needed, and maintaining a clean dining environment</li>
<li>Assist clients with mobility</li>
<li>Implement individualized care plans tailored to each resident’s needs, including developmental disabilities, behavior support plans, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, autism support, and memory care strategies</li>
<li>Implement behavior support strategies as trained and document accurately</li>
<li>Administer medications in accordance with company policy and training</li>
<li>Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive living environment</li>
<li>Engage clients in social activities and community outings to promote socialization and mental stimulation</li>
<li>Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as cleaning resident areas and laundry</li>
<li>Document clients progress through detailed notes on patient observation, behavior changes, and care provided</li>
<li>Communicate professionally with supervisors, team members, families, and external providers</li>
<li>Respond appropriately to emergencies, behavioral incidents, and safety concerns</li>
<li>Uphold all company policies, ethical standards, and state regulations</li>
</ul>
<div><strong> Qualifications</strong></div>

<ul>
<li>High school diploma or GED required</li>
<li>Ability to pass background checks and required screenings</li>
<li>Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes or home & community care settings is preferred</li>
<li>Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus</li>
<li>Experience with medication administration and care plan implementation is desirable</li>
<li>Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; physical stamina for long shifts is essential</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work compassionately with people with disabilities or age-related conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer’s disease</li>
<li>Familiarity with working within HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality</li>
<li>Valid driver’s license may be required for community outings or transportation assistance for full time day shift positions</li>
<li>A caring attitude combined with patience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills</li>
