Responsible for preparation, checking, and management of all civil and structural drawings for the Ingot & Wafer manufacturing facility. Ensure accurate, buildable, and code-compliant drawing packages — from structural GA and reinforcement detailing to equipment foundation layouts and site development drawings — supporting seamless construction and on-time project delivery.
1. Structural Drawing Preparation
- Prepare GA drawings for plant buildings: production hall, utility block, substation, and warehouse — plan, elevation, and section views.
- Produce structural steel fabrication drawings: columns, beams, purlins, girts, bracings, crane girders, monorail beams, and bolted / welded connections.
- Prepare RCC structural drawings: columns, beams, slabs, shear walls, staircases, and retaining walls with complete reinforcement detailing.
- Draw PEB and precast structural layouts; check dimensional compatibility with civil substructure and vendor drawings.
- Prepare and issue Bar Bending Schedules (BBS); verify quantities and bar shapes against design intent.
2. Foundation & Substructure Drawings
- Prepare foundation layout drawings: isolated, combined, raft, and pile cap details for structures and heavy process equipment.
- Draw equipment foundation drawings (block / frame type) with anchor bolt layout, pockets, embedded plates, and hold-down details as per OEM / mechanical inputs.
- Prepare pile layout plans, pile cap reinforcement details, and pile boring schedules.
- Draw underground utility drawings: cable trenches, drainage channels, sump pits, inspection chambers, and manhole details.
3. Industrial Floor & Slab Drawings
- Prepare ground-bearing and suspended slab drawings: reinforcement layout, construction joint pattern, and surface treatment zones.
- Mark equipment pit details, forklift cutouts, trench covers, insert plates, and drainage grating within slab drawings.
- Prepare formwork / shuttering drawings for complex slab and beam configurations.
- Incorporate FF/FL flatness zone demarcations on floor layout drawings for contractor reference.

4. Civil Infrastructure Drawings
- Prepare site development drawings: plot plan, internal road layout, storm water drainage, sewage lines, firefighting mains, and underground utility corridors.
- Draw site grading drawings: FFL plan, earthwork sections, subgrade treatment zones, and paving details.
- Prepare RCC retaining wall drawings, culvert sections, catch basins, and gully trap details.
- Draw boundary wall, security cabin, and external development details.
5. Drawing Management & Documentation
- Maintain Master Drawing Register (MDR): track revision history, issue status, and transmittal records for all civil-structural drawings.
- Issue drawings through Document Management System (DMS); incorporate review comments within agreed turnaround.
- Manage mark-up drawings from site (RFI responses, field revisions); update to as-built status.
- Prepare transmittal notes, document control logs, and submission registers for statutory approvals.
6. Coordination & Quality
- Coordinate with structural design engineer to translate calculations into clear, buildable drawings.
- Cross-check civil-structural drawings against mechanical, MEP, and process layouts to identify and flag clashes before construction issue.
- Check drawings for dimensional consistency, standards compliance, title block accuracy, and scale correctness before submission.
- Support site team during construction: produce sketches and shop drawings for non-standard field conditions.
- Assist in quantity take-off from drawings for BOQ and estimation support.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering (ITI Draughtsman Civil preferred); B.E. Civil also considered.
- Years of experience: 8 – 12 years in civil & structural drafting for industrial / manufacturing projects.
