- Position Title : Remote STEM Program Lead
- Full Time Job (8 hours a day) / Online / Remote
- Ability to work - 7 PM to 10 PM IST (included in the 40 hour work week) ( rest of hours flexible – some weekend hours maybe be needed for events) - Total - 8 hours per day - 40 Hours per week
- Strong Location Preference – Chennai, Bengaluru, Delhi
- 2+ years experience in the field
- Salary Range – Rs.35,000 - Rs.40,000 per month (Indian Rupees)
Role Description
This is a full-time remote role for a STEM Program Lead on a contractual basis, located in Chennai or Bengaluru. The Program Lead will be responsible for managing IBM Z Datathon program, engaging with 30-40 colleges to ensure 12k-16k students participation, and ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Executes end-to-end IBM Datathon successfully as a coordinator bringing coaches / mentors / students and partner orgs together
- Launches, executes, and successfully completes project tasks related to the above programs on time, within budget, and at an expected level of quality
- Implements and manages work plans, establishing timelines for activities and tracking actual progress
- Maintains and regularly updates internal and partnership documents (i.e., approved documents, contact lists, etc.)
- Creates and maintains playbooks for the program
- The role involves creating and implementing engagement plan, conducting mentoring sessions, collaborating with various stakeholders, and maintaining effective communication.
- Additionally, the Program Lead will address participant inquiries and provide support to elevate program impact.
Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in similar NGO with similar operational goals
- Or 2+ years in Tech or other fields (IT) with excellent project management experience – and now willing to switch to NGO
- Passion for community service, especially in the field of education
- Degree holder – Any Arts Degree / Engineering / Social Work / MBA
- Excellent project management skills (MANDATORY), very detailed oriented, push to close attitude
- Excellent English language skills (MANDATORY) – both written and spoken – proficient in other languages in India is an advantage
- Good communication skills to maintain relationships with members of the organization and respond to their requests regularly
- Excellent knowledge of Google Drive / Excel / Word / Email etc.
- Own a laptop or system at home with internet connection - Online work / Telephone work etc.
- Work 7 PM to 10 PM every day online (included in the the 40 hours per week - with other hours being flexible) – Total - 8 Hours per day - 40 Hours per week (Occasional weekend hours needed )
- 10% travel within India maybe required, and come in weekly once to local office as needed
