We are looking for a Remote Sensing Analyst with hands-on experience in satellite image processing to support agricultural monitoring and geospatial analytics projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process and analyze optical and SAR satellite imagery for crop and land monitoring applications
- Perform crop acreage estimation and yield estimation using remote sensing techniques
- Work with IMD (India Meteorological Department) rainfall/temperature data for agro-climatic analysis
- Automate geospatial workflows using Python
- Utilize Google Earth Engine (GEE) for large-scale satellite data processing and analysis
- Perform GIS analysis, mapping, and spatial data management
- Support field-level validation and ground-truthing activities as needed
- Prepare reports, maps, and visualizations for internal and client-facing deliverables
Required Skills:
- Experience with optical and SAR satellite image processing
- Practical knowledge of crop acreage and yield estimation methodologies
- Familiarity with IMD meteorological datasets
- Proficiency in Python for geospatial automation
- Proficient in Google Earth Engine (GEE) for large-scale geospatial data processing and analysis
- Strong command of QGIS/ ERDAS Imagine/ESRI Platform
- Working knowledge of R and/MATLAB for statistical analysis and data modeling
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in GIS/remote sensing
Educational Qualification: Bachelor's/Master's degree in Geoinformatics, Remote Sensing, GIS, Geography, Geology, or related field
