About The Role
We are seeking a Python Developer with strong expertise in FastAPI to join an exciting Reinforcement Learning (RL) Gym project. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable APIs that support reinforcement learning experiments and simulations. You will collaborate closely with researchers and engineering teams to develop robust backend services, ensuring seamless integration and high performance. While prior experience with RL Gym is not mandatory, familiarity with reinforcement learning environments and frameworks will be advantageous. This position offers an excellent opportunity to work on cutting-edge AI projects, contribute to innovative research, and develop scalable solutions that impact enterprise AI deployments.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 4 years of professional Python development experience, with at least 3 years specializing in FastAPI. You should have a strong understanding of REST API design, asynchronous programming, and API lifecycle management. A solid grasp of software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD pipelines, version control, and design patterns, is essential. Familiarity with data manipulation libraries such as NumPy and Pandas, and experience with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, will be considered a plus. Exposure to Reinforcement Learning environments such as OpenAI Gym, Gymnasium, or Stable Baselines, along with SQL experience, is advantageous. A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields is required.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain FastAPI-based services to facilitate experimentation workflows and simulation environments for reinforcement learning projects.
Collaborate with machine learning engineers and researchers to expose APIs for training, evaluation, and benchmarking processes, ensuring they are scalable and reliable.
Write efficient, production-grade Python code with a focus on scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization.
Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, optimize data pipelines, and ensure smooth deployment and operation of backend services.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to uphold quality standards and facilitate team collaboration.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in API development, AI research, and reinforcement learning environments.
