About The Role
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers (SWE Bench - Data Engineer / Data Science) to join our team and contribute to benchmark-driven evaluation projects that focus on real-world data engineering and data science workflows. This role involves hands-on work with production-like datasets, designing and maintaining data pipelines, and performing data science tasks to evaluate and enhance the performance of cutting-edge AI systems. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in data engineering and data science, with the ability to work seamlessly across data preparation, analysis, and model-related workflows within complex, real-world codebases. This position offers a unique opportunity to collaborate with top-tier researchers and engineers, leveraging data to push the boundaries of AI evaluation and development.
Qualifications
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Scientist, or Software Engineer with a focus on data workflows. Proficiency in Python is essential, particularly in the context of data processing and analysis. Demonstrable experience with handling structured and unstructured data, along with a solid understanding of machine learning and data science fundamentals, is required. Candidates should have experience working with complex, real-world codebases, and be capable of writing clean, reusable, and well-documented code. Strong problem-solving skills, especially related to algorithmic or data-intensive challenges, are vital. Excellent communication skills in English, both spoken and written, are also necessary to effectively collaborate within our multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Work with structured and unstructured datasets to support SWE Bench-style evaluation tasks.
- Design, develop, and validate data pipelines used in benchmarking and evaluation workflows.
- Perform data processing, analysis, feature engineering, and validation for data science applications.
- Write, run, and modify Python scripts to process data and support experimental workflows locally.
- Assess data quality, transformations, and outputs to ensure correctness and reproducibility.
- Create clean, well-documented, and reusable data workflows suitable for benchmarking purposes.
- Participate in code reviews to uphold high standards of code quality, readability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with researchers and engineers to design challenging, real-world data engineering and data science tasks for AI systems.
