Hiring: Remote Cabinetry Designer | PSM Doors
PSM Doors is growing, and we’re looking for a Cabinetry Designer who knows their way around cabinets beyond good-looking renders. This is a remote role for someone who understands how cabinetry is actually built, assembled, and installed.
If you have hands-on experience with modular or semi-modular systems and can translate design into precise, production-ready drawings, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Designing cabinetry and furniture systems for residential and commercial projects
- Preparing detailed, production-ready drawings with clear specifications
- Working closely with our team to ensure designs are practical, buildable, and efficient
- Selecting and specifying appropriate hardware and fittings
- Coordinating remotely with internal teams across projects in Australia and India
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience in modular or semi-modular cabinetry and furniture design
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods, materials, and joinery
- Solid knowledge of hardware systems (hinges, runners, lift systems, fittings, etc.)
- Proficiency in cabinetry design software (Mozaik, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, or similar)
- Ability to create accurate technical drawings, cut lists, and documentation for manufacturing
- Good communication skills and ability to work independently in a remote setup
- Attention to detail and a practical approach to design
Nice to Have (Not Mandatory):
- Experience working with international projects or standards (especially Australian joinery)
- Familiarity with CNC-ready outputs and manufacturing workflows
