- Strong proficiency in at least one programming language such as C#.
- Hands-on experience with Git, Docker, and setting up software pipelines.
- Ability to understand and navigate complex, large-scale codebases.
- Experience in running, modifying, and testing real-world projects locally.
- Contributing to or evaluating open-source projects is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Analyze and triage GitHub issues across trending open-source libraries, identifying challenges for LLMs in bug fixing and code comprehension.
- Set up and configure development environments, including Dockerization and environment automation, to facilitate efficient testing and evaluation.
- Evaluate unit test coverage, code quality, and test effectiveness to ensure datasets are comprehensive and reliable.
- Modify and run codebases locally to assess the performance of LLMs in bug-fixing and code understanding scenarios.
- Collaborate closely with research teams to identify repositories and issues that pose challenges for LLMs, contributing to dataset curation and problem formulation.
- Lead and mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and innovative team environment.
- Participate in designing workflows and automation tools to streamline dataset creation and evaluation processes.
Benefits
As a contractor with Turing, you will enjoy the flexibility of working in a fully remote environment, allowing you to balance your professional and personal commitments effectively. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most cutting-edge AI projects, collaborating with leading LLM companies and researchers worldwide. Turing offers a flexible work schedule with commitments of at least 4 hours per day and a minimum of 20 hours per week, with options for 30 or 40 hours per week. This role provides exposure to innovative AI research, opportunities to lead projects, and the chance to develop your skills in a fast-growing industry.
