About the Role: The Finance Data Platform team caters a single platform and entry point into Remitly's financial systems that provides timely, consistent, complete and accurate data to multiple downstream finance products like ledger, accounting, reconciliation and treasury systems. This is an important part of Remitly's operations – absolutely required for us to conduct business as we grow to serve millions of customers in new markets. As a Senior Engineer on the team, you'll help shape the multi-product ledger vision and support building the core finance data platform. You'll report to the Engineering Manager for the Finance Data Platform team. You Will: Deliver scalable systems end-to-end, including development, launch, and long-term support with high autonomy and quality. Design and implement solutions for ambiguous and difficult problems involving multiple technologies and backend systems. Contribute to the team's technical strategy and system architectures balancing short-term goals with long-term scalability and maintainability. Guide engineering excellence by delivering well-tested, observable, documented, efficient, scalable, and resilient solutions, improving team processes, and contributing to cross-team technical designs. Enhance team talent through mentoring, code review, interviewing, and ramping new hires. Collaborate with other engineers, product managers, designers, and analysts to achieve product and customer goals.
