About The Role
Willow Massage & Wellness is seeking a friendly, motivated Remedial Massage Therapist to join its growing team in a peaceful wellness clinic located in the beachside community of Howrah, Tasmania.
This opportunity is particularly suited to recent graduates or soon-to-be graduates of a Diploma of Remedial Massage who are excited to develop their skills, build a client base and grow within a supportive team environment.
Owned and led by Kelsea Morris, a Massage Therapist with over 15 years of industry experience, Willow is passionate about massage, holistic wellbeing and creating a welcoming community for both clients and practitioners.
New practitioners will initially join the clinic through a
room hire agreement, allowing them to establish their own client base while working alongside an experienced team. Once a consistent client base has been developed, there may be an opportunity to transition into employment with Willow. The initial self-employed period is anticipated to be approximately 6–12 months, depending on the practitioner's client base development.
Support is available to help new graduates navigate the practical aspects of self-employment, including payment systems and record-keeping.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver professional, thoughtful remedial massage treatments tailored to individual client needs.
- Create a welcoming and positive experience for clients.
- Build and maintain a consistent client base.
- Develop an individual treatment style that reflects personal strengths, interests and skills.
- Work collaboratively with other practitioners and support staff.
- Follow workplace procedures relating to hygiene, cleanliness, bookings, payments and client care.
- Demonstrate reliability, professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Take an active interest in ongoing learning and professional development.
- Manage the responsibilities associated with initially working as a self-employed practitioner.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma of Remedial Massage completed or nearing completion.
- Friendly, kind and reliable approach.
- Passion for massage therapy, wellness and client care.
- Willingness to learn, develop clinical skills and receive guidance.
- Interest in working collaboratively with other wellness practitioners.
- Commitment to professional standards and workplace procedures.
- Comfortable beginning as a self-employed practitioner under a room hire arrangement.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to the local Eastern Shore community.
