Security Guard
Location: College Station
Position Summary
The Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for property, employees, and visitors. This role requires schedule flexibility, including evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call coverage as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor premises to ensure safety and security of property and individuals
- Follow established security procedures and recommend improvements when appropriate
- Respond to incidents and document all violations or unusual activity in written reports
- Provide professional interaction with employees, visitors, and clients
- Maintain a visible and alert presence at assigned posts
- Complete additional duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office proficiency preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Ability to remain alert and attentive throughout shift
- Ability to stand for extended periods and greet individuals professionally
- Clean driving record required
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior security guard experience
- Current Guard Card
Work Schedule & Availability
- Must be available for evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Flexible schedule required, including on-call and fill-in shifts
- Ability to cover shifts on short notice as needed
Work Environment
- May require extended standing and outdoor/indoor post coverage
