About the Job:
Key Responsibilities
• Perform validation and reliability testing for EV electrical and electronic systems/components.
• Execute testing activities according to automotive and EV standards and test specifications.
• Develop and maintain test plans, test procedures, validation reports, and test documentation.
• Conduct functional, environmental, electrical, thermal, vibration, and endurance testing.
• Operate and maintain test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power analyzers, DAQ systems & Data loggers.
• Analyze test results, identify failures, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and recommend corrective actions.
• Support qualification and compliance testing for EV products and subsystems.
• Collaborate with design and development teams during product validation and debugging activities.
• Ensure adherence to safety procedures and quality standards during testing activities.
• Participate in DFMEA/PFMEA, reliability improvement, and continuous quality initiatives.
• Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Electronics & Communication Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in reliability testing, validation, or product testing in EV or automotive electronics domain.
• Hands-on experience with EV testing standards and automotive validation procedures.
• Good understanding of:
- Battery Management Systems (BMS)
- Power electronics
- DC-DC converters
- Motor & controllers
- Wiring harness and electrical systems
- CAN Protocols
• Familiarity with automotive/EV standards such as:
- ISO 16750
- IEC standards
- AIS standards
- UN 38.3
- LV124/LV148 (preferred)
- IEC 60068 environmental testing standards
• Knowledge of reliability and environmental testing:
- Thermal cycling
- Vibration testing
- Humidity testing
- HALT/HASS
- EMC/EMI basics
• Experience using laboratory instruments and test automation tools.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Ability to interpret schematics, datasheets, and technical specifications.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in EV charger, battery pack, automotive ECU, or power electronics testing.
• Exposure to CAN communication and automotive diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with APQP, PPAP, and automotive quality processes preferred.
