Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Release Train Engineer (RTE) to drive Agile execution across multiple teams within an Agile Release Train (ART). The candidate will act as a servant leader and coach, facilitating program-level processes, ensuring delivery excellence, and enabling continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate PI Planning, ART syncs, Scrum of Scrums, and other Agile ceremonies at the program level
- Act as a servant leader for the ART, ensuring alignment with SAFe principles and Agile best practices
- Manage and resolve risks, dependencies, and impediments across teams
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and ensure effective retrospectives at program level
- Collaborate with Product Management, Product Owners, Architects, and stakeholders for program alignment
- Ensure proper tracking of metrics (velocity, predictability, defect metrics, etc.) and drive data-driven decisions
- Support release management and delivery timelines across multiple teams
- Facilitate effective communication and transparency across stakeholders
- Promote Agile maturity and coaching across teams
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and defect management practices
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in IT industry with strong Agile/Scrum exposure
- Hands-on experience working as an RTE / Program Manager / Scrum Master at scale
- Strong understanding of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) principles and practices
- Experience managing multiple Agile teams within an ART
- Good understanding of project management and delivery lifecycle
- Knowledge of defect management metrics and quality processes
- Strong facilitation, stakeholder management, and conflict resolution skills
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Experience in tools like JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe RTE / SAFe Agilist certification
- Experience in large-scale Agile transformations
- Exposure to DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
