About the Role: We are looking for Release Delivery Lead profile who ensures that the SAP system remains robust, secure, and aligned with business objectives while facilitating smooth system evolutions with releases and minimizing disruptions during changes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead SAP Change Advisory Boards (CAB) and Cross-Digital CAB ensuring change controls adherence and improvement of the release framework.
- Coordinate release windows and annual calendar with business units, IT teams, and infrastructure teams to minimize operational disruption.
- Define, maintain and communicate SAP release calendar across landscape.
- Manage transport requests and ensure proper sequencing across SAP system landscapes.
- Act as Release Delivery Manager to bring package of functionalities from scoping to delivery communicating with stakeholders, identifying risks and addressing them until resolution.
- Continuous improvement of Release management ways of working from ideation to adoption, end to end without disruptions in the operation, and in cooperation with AMS, SAP experts and other stakeholders.
- Ensure the sustain, evolution and governance of Release supporting toolset such as Solution Manager, JIRA, Confluence with strong emphasis in innovation and adoption of emerging technologies such AI and automation.
- Establish and maintain the right level of governance, leading the Global Release meeting, conducting quality gates, milestone reviews and Business Go/No-Go reviews. Proactively report any releases risks and come with necessary mitigation plans.
- Communicate with stakeholders to identify any issues or risks that may affect the release schedule or quality of the ERP platform.
- Ensure the release notes are always set up and communicated with digital and business stakeholders as a part of release management process.
- Perform post-release analysis to identify any issues that occurred during the release process and develop plans to prevent similar problems in future releases.
- Organize recurrent alignment with major rollouts and live country projects (sharing changes to methodology, outages, etc..).
Qualifications:
- 8+ years work experience as ERP Release Manager in complex landscape, preferably in a FMCG and/or FMCH context.
- Contributed in the design and adoption of retrofit, freeze and downtime strategies.
- Experience in Focused Build or SAP Cloud ALM is a plus.
- Solid experience in SAP release management, with a deep understanding of SAP S4HANA architecture and its modules, integrated systems and with technical knowledge to handle technical dependencies and conflicts.
- Good understanding of S4HANA upgrade process and supporting toolset such SAP Readiness Check with at least one contribution to the delivery of a Major release with upgraded systems in scope.
- Hands on in related supporting tools such Jira, Solution Manager, Confluence, Service-now to support application lifecycle activities.
- Familiar with SAP activate methodology is a plus.
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- At ease with Microsoft Office tools, and in general with IS tools.
- Experience with multi-geography, multi-tier service design and management.
- Solid understanding of project management methodologies, software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies and agile practices.
- Conceptual and analytical thinking – ability to extract, analyse, and document complex business and technical requirements or strategies.
