Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

·         Perform routine janitorial tasks including trash removal, dusting, vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping.

·         Clean and sanitize restrooms, showers, and common areas.

·         Complete daily carpet spotting and periodic deep cleaning tasks as assigned.

·         Clean furniture, glass, and exterior areas as required.

·         Ensure all tools and equipment are maintained in safe working conditions.

·         Maintain organized and secure storage areas for supplies and equipment.

·         Demonstrate knowledge of cleaning materials and proper usage.

·         Maintain a clean and safe work environment that promotes efficiency and safety.

·         Follow all emergency procedures including evacuation and incident response protocols.

·         Apply knowledge of fire prevention and reporting procedures.

·         Provide professional customer service and respond appropriately to requests or concerns.

·         Maintain appropriate workplace behavior and communication with coworkers and customers.

·         Follow directions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks on schedule.

·         Perform other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

·         At least 6 months of janitorial or custodial experience or equivalent training

·         Ability to perform general cleaning including restroom sanitation and carpet care

·         Dependable transportation to assigned worksites

·         Ability to obtain required site clearances or background checks

·         Ability to follow cleaning schedules including daily, weekly, and periodic tasks

·         Strong attendance, reliability, and time management

·         Ability to communicate professionally in the workplace

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

·         Experience in commercial janitorial environments

·         Experience working in diverse teams or with individuals with disabilities

·         Familiarity with cleaning equipment and safety practices

SCOPE & ACCOUNTABILITY

Performs duties independently.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

No direct supervisory responsibility.

Ability to work with moderate supervision and some independent decision making.

 

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

·         Work performed primarily indoors with some outdoor exposure

·         Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching

·         Ability to lift up to 40–50 pounds occasionally

·         Use of cleaning chemicals and equipment

·         May require evening, overnight, or weekend shifts

·         Ability to respond to urgent cleaning needs or emergencies.

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to write and read simple instructions and short correspondence

  • Route Rover roles will need a driver license and pass DMV check
  • Walk and stand for long periods of time
  • Perform work that includes lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying, bending, and pulling
  • Speak and understand basic English
