Role Description The Relationship Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kolkata. The individual in this role will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of retail and/or institutional clients, understanding their investment needs, and recommending suitable products such as equities, commodities, mutual funds, and IPOs. Day-to-day tasks include proactive client outreach, responding to queries, providing market updates, and ensuring timely execution of trades and transactions. The Relationship Manager will coordinate with internal teams to resolve service issues, maintain accurate client records, and uphold regulatory and compliance standards. The role also involves meeting defined business targets, contributing to branch-level initiatives, and promoting a high level of customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Strong client relationship management abilities, including consultative selling, portfolio nurturing, and customer service.
- Good understanding of capital markets, equity and commodity products, mutual funds, and IPO processes.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English and local languages, with strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Comfort with data analysis, use of trading platforms, CRM tools, and basic MS Office applications.
- Knowledge of SEBI regulations and compliance practices related to broking and depository services.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Business, Economics, or a related field; relevant certifications (e.g., NISM) are an advantage.
- Prior experience in broking, wealth management, banking, or financial services client-facing roles is preferred.
- Ability to work in a target-driven environment, demonstrate ethical conduct, and maintain confidentiality of client information.
