Location: Bangalore, 3-4 days of outstation travel in a month
Nature of Role: Full time, Mon-Sat with 1-2 hours on Sundays. Availability based on people's available times is important, and may need to do work calls late in the evenings. We're currently in the process of partnering with a reputed University in Bangalore to launch India's first PG Diploma in Volunteer Management. To help drive this work, as well as to support our other initiatives, we're looking for a Relationship Manager in Bangalore.
The primary role of this person is to mine all the relationships at IWT (corporate, nonprofit, opinion leaders and influencers) and to achieve higher social impact across all our initiatives. In particular,
- Understand all our work in volunteering and support for initiatives like LivingMyPromise and DaanUtsav
- Understand all the relationships we have and see how they can be leveraged for all initiatives
- Build deep connections with all our relationships
- Build NEW connections using LI, social media and by attending gatherings
- Be the "go to person" for anyone in the team who needs connects and be able to find them a connection
Competencies required
- Thrives on building and deepening relationships.
- Enjoys spending hours daily engaging with people, using the phone, email, online chat, etc., and also doing several in person meetings
- Mature professional in a relationship management role in any sector, with at least 8-10 years' prior work experience in "getting things done through relationships".
- Fluent spoken and written English is a must, as is familiarity with office productivity tools.
Compensation: Slightly better than many nonprofit salaries, but significantly discounted to corporate salaries.
