Our efforts center on developing autonomous technologies for the maritime industry, serving both defense and commercial sectors globally. Our expertise spans autonomous vessels for surface and underwater operations, and smart port infrastructure. We are building the Jalkapi XLUUV, India's largest unmanned submarine for the Indian Navy with a 20-ton displacement and up to 45-day endurance, highlighting our capabilities.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to lead our procurement initiatives, focusing on international sourcing and advanced technology components. This role requires expertise in vendor management, inventory optimization, and ensuring efficient procurement processes to support Rekise Marine’s complex projects and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Strategy and Execution:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
- Manage international and domestic procurement processes, ensuring timely delivery of critical, high-value components.
- Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with reliable suppliers to achieve cost efficiency and quality standards.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and monitor supplier performance using defined KPIs.
- Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to source components meeting technical specifications.
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and international trade laws.
- Analyze market trends to optimize procurement strategies for advanced components.
Inventory Management:
- Oversee inventory control to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess.
- Conduct regular audits and ensure accuracy in inventory records.
- Implement inventory management systems for real-time tracking and forecasting.
- Develop strategies to mitigate stock shortages and manage inventory movement across locations.
Process Optimization and Reporting:
- Continuously evaluate and improve procurement and inventory processes for cost savings and efficiency.
- Prepare reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, and inventory metrics.
- Ensure all processes align with organizational policies and industry standards.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with project objectives.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience:
- 10+ years in procurement and inventory management, with proven international procurement experience.
- Strong understanding of advanced technology and high-value component sourcing.
- Demonstrated ability to manage procurement in environments with high variability—such as custom manufacturing, R&D-intensive projects, or complex engineering builds—where requirements frequently evolve.
Technical Skills:
- Experience in negotiating contracts with local and global suppliers.
- Proficiency in procurement tools, ERP systems, and inventory management software.
- Knowledge of import/export regulations and customs compliance.
