A Brief Overview

As an Administration & Treaty Analyst, you will be responsible for processing all premiums for groups/individuals in the IRA system with the stipulated standard operating procedure and time frame. The incumbent will actively participate in the collection of premiums/ data from clients and ensure that the engagement between clients/ relevant stakeholders is executed effectively and efficiently. There is an expectancy to work hybrid, and must be adhered to.

What You Will Do

  • Ensure timeous response with other members of Operations, Finance, Valuations, and Risk to achieve team goals.
  • Assist and prioritize all queries from internal/external stakeholders. All queries are to be acknowledged promptly when received to manage expectations.
  • Ensure all variances are investigated and raised with the Team Lead/ BA. Provide support on Administration Audits and investigations.
  • Process all client data and analyze it to pick up trends and changes that might impact processing of premiums.
  • Work with the Senior Administration Analyst and the rest of the team members to streamline and continuously improve the administration process to better meet client expectations and service standards.
  • Ensure client companies are kept abreast of any Administrative concerns and ensure clients are promptly and efficiently responded to at all times.
  • Provide administration data for input to accounting records, valuation systems, and regulatory returns.
  • Provide administration data to retrocession clients in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Duplicate lives merging and termination of benefits.
  • Perform inter-company settlements.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of matric required
  • 2+ Years experience in the insurance industry preferably re-insurance required
  • Basic knowledge of insurance products and terminology in SA. Good understanding of reinsurance and business processing methodologies. required
  • Ability to build relations across the board. required
  • At least one/two years experience in the administration of Individual Life/ Group business required
  • Computer literacy (word, excel, and outlook) would be desirable. required
