Reinsurance Business AnalystiAi Consulting Servicesfull-timeRequired skillsaccountingAgileAzurecomplianceDevOpsJiraSQLtechnical functionalityAbout the role Website: Job details: Job Description:Advises and provides analytical support and recommendations to stakeholders making decisions related to reinsurance applications, financial platforms, or data management tools, considering current and future business needs and opportunities.Maintains advanced understanding of reinsurance accounting processes, technical ledger postings, and IT platforms, and conducts gap or impact analysis to identify and present new automation or efficiency opportunities.Collaborate and communicate all the key information with internal team members, stakeholders (including Finance, Actuarial, and Operations), and information services to ensure dependencies, risks, and opportunities in financial reporting and data matching are identified and addressed.Research critical business pain points requiring advanced knowledge of business, such as complex variances, manual bordereaux processing, or legacy system bottlenecks.Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting the business requirements for reinsurance IT applications or data systems and directing the testing and implementation of new systems or changes to current systems (such as settlement workbooks and ledger interfaces), as required, to meet contractual needs and improve processes.Lead and involve in the design and administration of standards and policies for financial reconciliation or IT platforms and document them for the end users of customer.Provide input and participate in establishing application or process documentation standards and quality assurance methodologies, particularly regarding audit trails and regulatory compliance.Provides work direction and coaching to team members and contribute towards the performance and development plans.Must HaveMust have a Bachelor's degree (preferably in Finance, Accounting, Actuarial Science, or Computer Science). Post-Graduation or Master’s degree is preferrable.Minimum of 5 years work experience in analyzing IT business processes and software application design within the Reinsurance domain, with a deep understanding of financial data systems and reconciliation operations processes.Extensive experience with Proportional and Non-Proportional reinsurance structures, technical accounting, bordereaux processing, and ledger reconciliations.Experience in Agile Methodology – JIRA or Azure DevOps is preferrable.Experience in developing and maintaining documentation related to workflow and business requirements (BRDs, FSDs), as well as technical functionality of IT applications.Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, specifically advanced Excel capabilities for data analysis and financial tracking.Advanced knowledge of risk & controls with experience in identifying and fixing financial data gaps, documenting internal financial controls, and testing of those controls.Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, data profiling, and investigating data variances across systems.
