Role Description
This full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru is for a Registrar in the Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG) department. The Registrar will provide direct patient care, including conducting medical assessments, diagnosing conditions, and delivering treatment plans. They will assist senior consultants in managing outpatient and inpatient cases, support in labor and delivery procedures, and ensure adherence to medical and hospital protocols. Additionally, the Registrar will maintain accurate patient records, participate in rounds, and contribute to the continuous improvement of patient safety and care standards. Interaction and effective communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams are integral to this role.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical skills in obstetrics and gynecology, including patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment
- Proficiency in managing labor, delivery, and postnatal care, including high-risk cases
- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families
- Experience in maintaining detailed and accurate medical documentation
- Commitment to patient safety, ethical practices, and adherence to hospital protocols
- MBBS and postgraduate qualification (MD/MS/DNB) in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Registration with the Medical Council of India or relevant state medical council
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Prior experience in a hospital setting is an advantage
