Role Purpose:
Lead and drive sales performance across South India for the rural mattress business by managing regional sales teams, expanding market reach, and strengthening dealer networks to achieve sustainable growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and drive sales targets for the rural mattress business across South India.
- Lead, coach, and manage Area Sales Managers, Branch Managers, and frontline sales teams.
- Develop and execute region-specific sales strategies for rural and semi-urban markets.
- Expand and strengthen distributor and dealer networks to improve market penetration.
- Monitor sales performance, productivity, and market trends; take corrective actions where required.
- Ensure effective execution of schemes, promotions, and brand visibility at the ground level.
- Manage channel relationships, resolve escalations, and ensure pricing and policy compliance.
- Collaborate with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams for smooth operations and collections.
- Travel extensively across rural markets to drive execution and team engagement.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of sales experience, preferably in FMCG, consumer durables, or mattress industry.
- Proven experience managing large, geographically dispersed sales teams.
- Strong understanding of rural sales dynamics and distribution-led businesses.
- Excellent people management, negotiation, and execution skills.
- Willingness to travel extensively across South India.
Language Skills preferred:
- English
- Kannada and Tamil
- Tamil /Telugu /Hindi/ Malayalam
