We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager in the South Zone of India, headquarter in Chennai.
Job Description:
· Responsible for the Annual and Quarterly Revenue for his/her territory
· Responsible for achieving market share objectives
· Identify, develop and secure new strategic sales opportunities
· Gather market intelligence information relating to competition, pricing, product offerings and market share
· To analyze the performance of each HQ based on the reports in the Field Force Reporting Software and initiate corrective action wherever required
· To monitor and manage hospital and detailer network and ensure effective services to all clients.
· To identify and evaluate different channel opportunities for different markets
· To monitor and control "Push & Pull" effect on the Sales and be responsible for complete demand planning and forecasting for each distribution channel on a monthly basis
· To lead the company negotiations with corporate hospitals as well as hospitals with centralized purchase
· To manage launch of new products and ensure performance and profitability of all products in the product range.
· Manage credit and payment matters
· Monitor & track the sales process effectively for efficient sales closing and documentation within the time frame set
· Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers via meetings/ personal visits, telephone
· Keep regular interaction with key clients for better extraction and expansion
· To focus on improving reach and coverage, of direct and channel sales teams, by analysing existing coverage and identifying gaps
· Plan and execute an Annual training Calendar for direct and channel sales team.
· Analyze Stock Movement based on the secondary sales and have a complete control on channel inventory.
· Do sales analysis and accurately forecast Sales and Stock requirement and coordinate with Logistics for the same
· Regularly have financial review with team to ensure that the targets are achieved
· Have a Clear focus on Traditional Channels to build Distribution, Visibility and volumes
· Establish Tour Plan for Self and Direct reportees
· Have Periodic Revision on the Progress of Business, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly. Regularly update your immediate supervisor and the marketing team on sales trends, market developments and competition
· On quarterly basis do SWOT analysis territory wise and share the same with HO
· Ensure that the budgeted manpower are onboarded regularly as per annual business plan. Attract and retain quality manpower
· Coach existing team members to improve sales productivity and better field coverage
· Ensure the training on induction manual to all the sales team members including the new recruits
· Work closely with the marketing team to ensure that the sales objectives are met. Also ensure that the various marketing activities are executed as per expectations.
· Direct the Sales Team and establishing Sales Targets Brand Wise Pack Wise as per annual business plan
· Do quarterly appraisal of your team
· To develop and achieve Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Sales Target for entire Product Range, through monitoring and implementation of different Marketing strategies and promotional program.
· Ensure timely submission of MIS Reports as per Company norms.
· To take part in tradeshows, regional conferences and train managers to conduct CME’s successfully in hospitals and nursing home
· Perform other responsibilities as assigned by superior or Management from time to time
Requirements:
· Candidate must possess Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing, Commerce or equivalent from reputable universities
· Should have experience of negotiating with Purchase Managers
· Minimum 5 years of related working experience (for ASM) or minimum 10 years (for RSM), only from the medical disposables, medical consumables or medical diagnostics industry.
· Computer literate, good knowledge of MS Office operation, Excel and Outlook
· A committed team player who is resourceful, dynamic and possesses good market intelligence
· Possess good interpersonal and communication skills with the team and customers
· Good command of English and local language (spoken and written)
