Regional Sales Manager – South India
Professional Summary
Result-oriented Sales Professional with proven experience in regional market development, key account management, and revenue growth across South India. Strong ability to build distributor networks, drive business expansion, and manage end-to-end sales operations in competitive markets.
Key Responsibilities
Territory Ownership & Revenue Growth
- Drive sales targets for South India region; develop and implement territory business plans to achieve quarterly and annual revenue goals.
Business Development & Channel Expansion
- Identify and appoint distributors/dealers; develop new accounts while strengthening existing customer base.
Market Intelligence & Competitive Strategy
- Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends; recommend pricing and positioning strategies to improve market share.
Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong relationships with key accounts, government departments, and institutional buyers; handle commercial negotiations and contract closures.
Sales Operations & Execution
- Ensure timely order processing, coordination with supply chain, and after-sales support; monitor collections and payment cycles.
Compliance & Tender Management
- Manage participation in tenders/bidding processes; ensure documentation compliance and adherence to company policies.
Travel & Field Engagement
- Extensive travel within assigned territory to drive sales and market penetration.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Food Science, or related discipline.
Work Experience
- 3–5 years of experience in B2B sales, international trade, or regional sales management.
- Experience in handling South India territory preferred.
- Strong exposure to distributor management and institutional sales.
- Industry background in Food Safety Testing, Diagnostics, Laboratory Equipment, or Chemical Analysis will be an added advantage.
