About the Company
Our client is a high-growth, publicly-listed medical robotics innovator headquartered in Asia. After achieving significant clinical and commercial success in their home market, they are now aggressively scaling globally. This is a "founding-level" commercial role for the India region. You will not be inheriting a legacy territory; you will be the architect of the brand’s footprint in India, taking a disruptive technology from zero to market leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure the first 5–10 "Reference Centers" in the region. Convert leading surgeons from legacy robotic platforms to our client’s innovative system.
- Lead the 9–18 month sales cycle for multi-million dollar robotic installations, managing stakeholders from the Operating Room (Surgeons) to the Boardroom (CFO/CEO).
- Act as the primary link between the Asian HQ and the Indian market, ensuring product feedback and local regulatory requirements (CDSCO) are communicated effectively.
- Navigate the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) and private hospital group procurement (Apollo, Manipal, Fortis) with a focus on creative financing and ROI modeling.
- Partner with Clinical Applications teams to ensure that once a robot is installed, procedure volumes grow month-over-month (The "Razor/Blade" model).
- Uphold rigorous compliance, ethical selling, and transparent quarterly forecasting as required by a listed entity.
Candidate Profile
- 10+ years in MedTech, specifically selling High-Value Capital Equipment (Robotics, Navigation, or Advanced Imaging). You must have a track record of successfully launching a new brand or product category in India.
- Experience in a structured MNC environment (for the systems/compliance) but with the grit and adaptability of a startup "pioneer."
- Experience working with Asian-based headquarters (China, Singapore, Japan, Korea, etc.) is a plus, as it requires a specific style of communication and alignment.
- Deep, existing "Day 1" access to Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in General Surgery, Urology, or Gynecology.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Engineering;
