Role Description The Regional Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for driving sales growth and market penetration for Agappe’s diagnostic products within the assigned region. This role involves managing and expanding the customer base, including hospitals, laboratories, and distributors, through regular client meetings, product presentations, and negotiation of commercial terms. The Regional Sales Manager will monitor regional sales performance, forecast demand, and prepare periodic sales reports to support strategic decision-making. Day-to-day activities include coordinating with internal teams for supply, logistics, and technical support, overseeing the implementation of sales campaigns, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. The role also includes mentoring local sales teams, conducting training on product offerings, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and competitor activity.
Qualifications
- Strong sales and business development skills, including territory management, key account management, and negotiation abilities.
- Experience in the diagnostics, medical devices, or healthcare industry, with a solid understanding of reagents, equipment, and laboratory workflows.
- Ability to analyze market data, prepare sales forecasts, and use CRM or sales management tools effectively.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills to engage with diverse stakeholders.
- Proven team leadership capabilities, including coaching, performance management, and collaboration across functions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification in management is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the region and work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work ethically, comply with regulatory standards, and represent the company professionally.
