Purpose of the role:
To drive sales growth and strengthen market presence by managing special accounts (key accounts primarily on-premises) across the assigned region in the alcohol beverages (Alcobev) segment. The role focuses on building strategic partnerships, ensuring execution excellence, and achieving revenue targets.
1. Key Account Management
- Manage and grow relationships with key accounts (premium outlets, HORECA – Hotels, Restaurants, Cafés).
- Negotiate annual business plans, pricing, margins, and promotional activities.
- Ensure high visibility and availability of products across key accounts.
2. Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve regional sales targets (volume & value).
- Identify new business opportunities and onboard strategic accounts.
- Drive premiumization and portfolio mix as per company strategy.
3. Distribution & Execution
- Ensure strong distribution network across the region – existing and additional outlets
- Monitor stock availability, menu listings, secondary sales, and depletion rates.
- Coordinate with distributors and internal teams for seamless execution.
4. Trade Marketing & Promotions
- Plan and execute promotions, activations, and brand-building initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing team for campaigns and product launches.
- Ensure compliance with state excise laws and brand guidelines.
5. Team Management
- Lead and mentor a team of sales executives/territory managers.
- Set KPIs and monitor team performance.
- Conduct regular market visits and reviews.
6. Market Intelligence
- Track competitor activities, pricing, and market trends.
- Provide actionable insights to management.
- Identify opportunities for expansion and new product placement.
7. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to local excise laws and company policies.
- Maintain accurate sales reports, forecasts, and account plans.
- Handle audits and documentation related to key accounts.
Job Location: Bangalore or Hyderabad
Experience:
- 12-15 years of experience.
- Experience in Special Accounts/ Institutionalized Sales in alcohol beverage industry will be preferred.
- Experience in F&B, hospitality, event management preferred.
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Management/ Hotel Management.
- MBA preferred
