About Wholeleaf
Wholeleaf is a fast-growing consumer healthcare company focused on building differentiated solutions for chronic and everyday pain management. Our products are sold through a combination of doctor-led channels, pharmacies, distributors, D2C, marketplaces and other modern consumer channels.
As we expand our offline business, we are looking for an ambitious and highly execution-oriented Regional Sales Manager to build and scale our doctor prescription and pharmacy distribution business across NCR.
The Role
This is not a conventional pharma sales leadership role.
We are looking for someone who understands both sides of the healthcare market:
- Doctor-led prescription generation, and
- OTC / nutraceutical / consumer healthcare sales through pharmacies and distributors.
The person will lead a team of MRs/field sales executives but must also be extremely hands-on—personally developing territories, meeting doctors, opening pharmacy accounts, building distributor relationships and driving revenue.
We are looking for someone ambitious, entrepreneurial and hungry to build, rather than someone accustomed to operating only through large established teams and systems.
What You'll Own
Doctor & Prescription Business
- Drive prescription generation through doctors including Orthopaedics, Pain Specialists, GPs and other relevant specialties.
- Build strong relationships with doctors and high-potential prescribers.
- Develop doctor territories and execute regular doctor engagement and activation programs.
- Convert prescription generation into measurable secondary sales.
Pharmacy & Distributor Sales
- Build and grow sales through independent/mom-and-pop pharmacies, local pharmacy networks and distributors.
- Identify and appoint suitable distributors and develop productive relationships with existing channel partners.
- Drive pharmacy onboarding, product availability, visibility and repeat ordering.
- Work directly with pharmacy owners and staff to improve product awareness and recommendation.
- Build strong primary and secondary sales across the territory.
Team & Territory Development
- Manage, train and develop a team of MRs/field sales executives.
- Recruit and build the field team as the territory expands.
- Set targets, review field performance and accompany team members on market visits.
- Develop territory-wise doctor, pharmacy and distributor plans.
- Personally remain active in the market rather than operating only as a people manager.
Revenue Ownership
- Own regional sales targets across doctor prescriptions, pharmacy sales and distribution.
- Track doctor productivity, pharmacy activation, repeat orders, distributor performance and secondary sales.
- Identify new opportunities to expand distribution and improve territory productivity.
Candidate Profile
- 6–10 years of sales experience in healthcare, nutraceuticals, OTC, wellness or related consumer healthcare categories.
- Strong experience selling through independent pharmacies and distributors is highly preferred.
- Should understand both doctor prescription-led selling and OTC/nutraceutical/consumer healthcare sales.
- Experience managing and developing MRs or field sales teams.
- Strong existing understanding of the NCR healthcare and pharmacy market.
- Proven ability to personally develop territories and generate business rather than relying entirely on an established company network.
- Commercially sharp, target-driven and comfortable being accountable for revenue.
Preferred Background
We are particularly interested in candidates from nutraceutical, wellness, OTC and consumer healthcare businesses who also have exposure to doctor-led sales.
Pure traditional pharma experience without meaningful exposure to OTC, nutraceutical, consumer healthcare or pharmacy-led selling would not be the preferred profile.
The Person We're Looking For
We want someone who is:
- Young in mindset, ambitious and hungry to grow.
- Highly hands-on and execution-oriented.
- Comfortable spending significant time in the field.
- Capable of building a business and team from the ground up.
- Strong with doctors as well as pharmacy owners and distributors.
- Entrepreneurial and willing to put in the elbow grease required to scale a growing business.
- Looking for an opportunity to grow into a larger sales leadership position as the company expands.
