Position: Regional Operations Manager – EV Charging Infrastructure

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Regional Operations Manager to lead the end-to-end operations of our EV charging network across the assigned region. The role is responsible for ensuring maximum charger uptime, operational excellence, customer satisfaction, revenue optimization, safety compliance, and efficient management of field operations.
The ideal candidate should possess strong operational leadership, stakeholder management, technical understanding of EV charging infrastructure, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a fast-growing environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Own complete regional operations for public, private, fleet, and destination charging stations.
• Ensure maximum network availability by achieving defined charger uptime and service level agreement (SLA) targets.
• Manage the operational readiness of new charging infrastructure projects from installation through commissioning and handover.
• Analyze technical drawings, electrical layouts, and project specifications to ensure accurate material estimation.
• Prepare, review, and validate BOQs for EV charging infrastructure projects.
• Coordinate with EPC contractors, project teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely and quality execution.
• Validate technical readiness, documentation, testing, and successful integration of charging stations into the operational network.
• Monitor charger performance through centralized monitoring platforms and proactively address operational issues.
• Establish, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure effective lifecycle management of charging infrastructure and associated operational assets.
• Manage resolution of escalated customer issues in collaboration with Customer Support and Technical teams.
• Develop and manage relationships with vendors, and third-party service providers.
• Monitor regional charging station performance, utilization, and revenue metrics. Ensure operational accuracy in billing, transaction reconciliation, and revenue reporting.
• Develop and present operational dashboards, management reports, and performance reviews.
• Ensure all operational activities comply with statutory, regulatory, and internal governance requirements.
• Liaise with electricity distribution companies (DISCOMs), regulatory authorities, and government agencies to facilitate operational approvals and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with the Tech, Product, and Engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted charger connectivity and system performance.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field.
MBA (Operations) is preferred.
Experience
•Managing multi-city or multi-state operations.
•Experience leading field service teams and vendor ecosystems.
•Proven experience handling P&L or regional operational budgets is preferred.
