Role Overview – Regional Manager (Cross Border)
DTDC Express Limited is looking for an experienced and business-driven Regional manager to lead and
grow its Cross Border eCommerce business across an assigned region. The role involves managing a
team of Business Development Managers (BDMs), driving revenue growth, building relationships with
exporters and eCommerce sellers, and expanding DTDC’s international shipping business. The candidate
will work closely with sales, operations, product, and customer support teams to ensure strong business
performance and a seamless customer experience across the zone.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and manage BDMs across the region; set targets, review
performance and build a high-accountability culture.
- Regional Business Growth: Own and drive growth in international parcel volumes and export
revenues; develop region-specific go-to-market strategies.
- Strategic Account Management: Manage high-value export accounts, ensuring retention and wallet
share growth.
- Market Expansion: Identify and penetrate export hubs and eCommerce corridors; acquire D2C
brands, marketplace sellers, and large exporters.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with operations, international partners, product,
and national leadership to improve service delivery and resolve escalations.
- Seller Enablement & Reporting: Drive seller meets, webinars, and onboarding programs; track and
report on zonal pipeline health, BDM productivity, and market trends.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Regional Revenue Target: 100%+ of assigned monthly/quarterly targets.
New Account Acquisition: Number of new exporter accounts onboarded across the regions.
BDM Performance: % of BDMs meeting or exceeding individual targets.
Customer Retention Rate & Active Seller Ratio: Maintain required retention; % of sellers generating
regular shipments.
Escalation Resolution TAT: Resolve complaints within 24–48 hours.
Qualifications
8–12 years in Business Development/Sales, with 3+ years in a team leadership role in logistics,
eCommerce, or international shipping.
Proven track record of managing distributed sales teams and consistently achieving regional
revenue targets.
Strong understanding of cross-border logistics, export shipping, or eCommerce marketplaces
is strongly preferred.
Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Proficient in
MS Office, CRM tools, and data analysis.
