Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary HR contact for all employees and managers throughout the India and Asia region.
- Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, development, transfers, promotions, and offboarding.
- Lead recruitment efforts for the region, partnering with hiring managers to identify, attract, and hire top talent.
- Deliver a positive and consistent onboarding experience for all new hires.
- Provide timely coaching and guidance to managers on employee relations, performance management, organizational changes, and employment practices.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, regulations, and statutory requirements across multiple countries within the region, partnering with legal counsel and external providers as needed.
- Coordinate with payroll, benefits, and external vendors to ensure accurate and compliant HR administration.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR data within Workday and other HR systems.
- Support compensation, benefits, and annual HR processes, including performance reviews, merit planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Partner with global HR colleagues to implement corporate programs while adapting them appropriately for local requirements.
- Develop trusted relationships with employees and leaders by providing responsive, practical, and customer-focused HR support.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and drive operational excellence across the region.
- Participate in global HR projects, acquisitions, integrations, and organizational initiatives as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience supporting multiple countries across Asia.
- Demonstrated experience supporting India along with other Asia-Pacific countries such as China, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Japan, South Korea, or Australia.
- Strong working knowledge of employment laws and HR practices across multiple Asia-Pacific jurisdictions.
- Experience independently managing the full employee lifecycle.
- Strong recruiting experience across technical, manufacturing, engineering, and professional positions preferred.
- Experience supporting a multinational organization with geographically dispersed employees.
- HRIS experience, preferably Workday.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating effectively with global teams.
- Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential employee information.
Success Profile
The ideal candidate is:
- A hands-on HR professional who enjoys executing as much as advising.
- Comfortable serving as the sole HR representative for a diverse, multi-country region.
- Knowledgeable about the cultural and legal differences across Asia and able to adapt HR practices accordingly.
- Highly organized, responsive, and able to manage competing priorities without sacrificing quality.
- Flexible with work schedules to support employees, leaders, and global HR partners across multiple time zones.
- Customer-focused with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Able to build trust quickly while maintaining confidentiality and exercising sound judgment.
