APAC HR Shared Services Hub Lead (Global MNC - Healthcare industry)
Our client is a leading global organization with a strong presence across APAC. As part of the continued evolution of its HR operating model, the business is establishing a Regional HR Shared Services Hub in Bangalore to support HR operations across the region.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced HR Shared Services leader to establish and lead the APAC HR Shared Services Hub in Bangalore.
This is a key leadership role responsible for building the hub from the ground up, implementing the operating structure, processes and governance required to deliver high-quality and technology-enabled HR services across APAC.
You will work closely with senior HR and business stakeholders across the region and play a hands-on role in transitioning HR activities from individual countries into the centralized hub. The team is expected to grow to approximately 20 HR specialists once fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and lead the APAC HR Shared Services Hub in Bangalore.
- Design and implement the hub's operating structure, processes, governance and service delivery framework.
- Lead the transition of HR activities and responsibilities from individual APAC markets into the centralized hub.
- Recruit, develop and lead the Shared Services team.
- Define and manage service levels and ensure strong operational performance across the hub.
- Drive continuous improvement and optimize HR service delivery and key SSC KPIs.
- Build a strong culture of accountability, customer focus and operational excellence.
- Partner closely with senior HR leaders, business leaders and key stakeholders across APAC.
- Leverage HRIS, workflow automation and AI-enabled HR tools to improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Ensure HR operations remain aligned with employment law, compliance requirements and data governance standards across multiple markets.
The Successful Candidate
- 5+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with exposure to Shared Services, global HR operations or multi-site HR environments.
- Proven experience building an HR Shared Services team or regional service hub from scratch and successfully leading the function.
- Strong experience managing and developing teams within a Shared Services environment.
- Hands-on understanding of HRIS, workflow automation and AI-enabled HR technologies.
- Strong knowledge of operational HR processes, employment law, HR compliance and data governance.
- Demonstrated experience improving HR service delivery, service levels and Shared Services KPIs.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work effectively with senior HR and business leaders.
- Strong execution capabilities and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Resilient, hands-on and solutions-oriented leadership style with high standards and a continuous improvement mindset.
- Fluent in English.
