Role Description The Regional Head role is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru. The Regional Head will lead and grow business for the assigned region by developing and executing sales and distribution strategies for loan and mortgage products. This role oversees regional branch operations, ensures compliance with company policies and partner requirements, and manages relationships with banks, NBFCs, and other financial institutions. The Regional Head will build, mentor, and evaluate regional teams, set performance targets, and monitor key metrics such as loan volumes, conversion rates, and portfolio quality. Day-to-day responsibilities include driving customer acquisition initiatives, optimizing the client advisory process, resolving escalations, collaborating with central teams (product, credit, operations, marketing), and identifying new market opportunities and partnerships within the region.
Qualifications
- Strong regional business leadership skills, including team management, performance coaching, and the ability to lead multi-location operations.
- Proven experience in sales, business development, and distribution management within financial services, preferably in loans, mortgages, or retail banking.
- Deep understanding of loan products, mortgage solutions, credit processes, compliance norms, and partner bank/NBFC ecosystems.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building skills with internal teams and external partners, including senior leaders at financial institutions.
- Analytical and data-driven decision-making capabilities, with proficiency in tracking KPIs, reviewing dashboards, and implementing corrective action plans.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the region in leadership reviews and partner meetings.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment, with high levels of ownership, resilience, and problem-solving skills.
- Graduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Prior experience managing a region or large territory in BFSI or fintech and familiarity with the Bengaluru and South India markets will be an advantage.
