Job Purpose :
Lead and direct the department goals and action plans for the cluster, mapped into measurable results with timely and consistent execution.
Dimensions :
Revenue & Cost: Ensure the revenue–cost ratio is maintained across the cluster.
Product: Equity, Currency, TPP and any other new launches.
Customer: Ensure adequate clientele for all branches and implement customer retention techniques.
Manpower: Manager BM, RM and ASM mapped to respective clusters; ensure optimum productivity.
Sales Management: Manage the entire Retail Sales Process for the respective cluster.
Geography: Manage branches at different locations/cities.
Job Context & Major Challenges :
Challenges include hiring and retaining qualified resources in branches, especially in remote locations; administrative challenges related to collecting required customer documents for account opening; retaining customers in competitive markets; ensuring compliance while serving customers; handling dynamic market conditions; and ensuring proper certifications of the team as per product requirements.
Principal Accountabilities :
Revenue and Cost
- Monitor the productivity and cost of the mapped branches.
- Monitor income from other products.
Team Management
- Ensure adequate manpower in all branches.
- Handhold the team for better performance.
- Align team members with company processes and norms.
- Counsel and motivate team members.
Customer Service
- Ensure customer satisfaction across all levels.
- Coordinate with the research team for advice/review of portfolios for top customers on a regular basis.
- Ensure implementation of customer retention strategies devised by management.
Relationship Management
Maintain relations with State Heads of HDFC Bank for better support in client servicing and retention.
Adherence to Compliance
- Ensure adherence to company norms, processes, and regulations.
- Ensure strict adherence to risk and compliance norms in branches.
- Ensure branch policy/process adherence, training of team, labour compliance, and attrition management.
People Development
- Groom employees to take up larger roles.
- Conduct regular and refresher training for all products.
- Motivate employees.
Job Purpose of Direct Reports :
Manage cluster operations to achieve targeted sales turnover of the assigned branch while adhering to regulatory compliance.
