Role Description The Regional Head is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for driving business performance and operational excellence across an assigned region. This role includes overseeing branch and merchant network performance, setting regional sales targets, monitoring key financial metrics, and ensuring regulatory and internal compliance. The Regional Head will lead and mentor regional teams, coordinate with cross-functional departments, and implement strategic initiatives to grow customer acquisition, deposits, and transaction volumes. Daily activities involve reviewing performance dashboards, conducting field visits, engaging with key partners and stakeholders, resolving escalations, and identifying new market opportunities. The role also requires preparing periodic reports for senior leadership and contributing to long-term regional growth plans.
Qualifications
- Strong regional business management skills, including sales planning, target setting, and performance tracking.
- Experience in branch operations, merchant network management, and customer service improvement.
- Proficiency in stakeholder management and collaboration with cross-functional teams (e.g., operations, risk, marketing).
- Ability to analyze financial and operational data to drive decisions and optimize regional performance.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience managing and developing diverse, distributed teams.
- Background in banking, financial services, or fintech, preferably with exposure to retail or inclusive banking.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification (MBA or equivalent) is an advantage.
- Comfort with on-site, field-intensive work and regular travel within the region.
- Demonstrated ability to work ethically, comply with regulatory standards, and promote a culture of integrity and inclusion.
