Role Description The Regional Head is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Mumbai, responsible for driving business growth and operational excellence across the assigned region. This role involves overseeing regional sales and business development activities, managing key banking and channel partner relationships, and ensuring delivery of revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction targets. The Regional Head will lead and mentor regional teams, set performance goals, and monitor execution against strategic plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing market trends, identifying new opportunities, ensuring regulatory and compliance adherence, and coordinating with cross-functional teams such as marketing, product, risk, and operations. The role also requires preparing regular performance reports, representing the company in regional industry forums, and promoting Akiko Global’s values of trust, technology, and financial inclusion.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in building, mentoring, and retaining high-performing regional teams.
- Proven track record in sales, business development, or regional P&L management within fintech, financial services, banking, or related sectors.
- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship-building capabilities with partners, clients, and internal teams.
- Advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to interpret market data, assess risk, and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the organization in high-level discussions.
- Deep understanding of digital financial services, compliance standards, and regulatory frameworks relevant to fintech and financial inclusion.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent postgraduate qualification is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in Mumbai, travel within the region as required, and thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
