Department - Sales & Business Development
Location - West Region
Industry - Solar EPC / Turnkey / Rooftop / Rope technology
Target - (100 - 150 MW Business Achievement – FY 2026–27)
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Growth & Target Achievement
- Drive regional sales and business development activities to achieve assigned MW targets for FY 2026–27.
- Build and maintain a strong project pipeline across EPC, Turnkey, Rooftop, and Utility projects.
- Identify high-value opportunities in industrial, commercial, and utility-scale segments.
- Achieve quarterly and annual revenue and collection targets.
2. Team Leadership & Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a 5-member business development team.
- Allocate region-wise and segment-wise targets to team members.
- Conduct weekly pipeline reviews and performance discussions.
- Build a high-performance and result-oriented sales culture.
3. Client Relationship Management
- Develop strong relationships with:
- Industrial clients
- Commercial customers
- Consultants
- Channel partners
- EPC stakeholders
- Participate in client meetings, presentations, negotiations, and proposal discussions.
- Ensure strong customer engagement and long-term business relationships.
4. Proposal & Commercial Coordination
- Coordinate with design, estimation, and technical teams for:
- Techno-commercial proposals
- Cost optimization
- Project feasibility
- Value engineering
- Ensure timely proposal submission and client follow-up.
5. Collection & Cashflow Management
- Ensure healthy project collections and payment discipline.
- Monitor advance payments, milestone collections, and project cashflows.
- Coordinate with finance and project teams for timely invoicing and payment follow-up.
6. Market Intelligence & Strategy
- Track market trends, competitor activities, pricing strategies, and policy developments.
- Identify new market opportunities and growth areas.
- Support management with strategic business insights and expansion plans.
7. Events & Market Engagement
- Plan and manage participation in renewable expos with clear ROI metrics.
- Track industry developments, competitor activities, and market news for actionable insights.
8. Training & Development
- Train sales teams on product knowledge, regulatory updates, and market trends.
- Identify skill gaps and recommend upskilling programs to ensure competitiveness.
Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in Solar EPC / Renewable Energy industry
- Proven experience in handling large-scale solar EPC projects
- Experience in leading sales/business development teams
- Strong understanding of:
- Utility-scale projects
- C&I solar
- Rooftop systems
- Open access business
